When an IR lamp burns out on your MHM press, everything stops. It’s frustrating. You need a replacement that just works—one that hits the same heat levels as the original without scorching your shirts or leaving the ink tacky. That’s where we come in. We build our infrared lamps to mirror those original factory specs so you can get your line moving again without the guesswork. The trick with power and voltage Here’s the thing: you can’t just grab any tube that fits the slot. If the wattage is too low, your ink won’t cure, and you’ll be forced to slow your whole production line to a crawl. But if you go too high? You’ll burn through the filament way too fast. We obsess over the W/cm ratio. Why? Because it means the heat actually sinks into the ink where it belongs, rather than warping your platen. It’s about balance. Quartz and the nitty-gritty details We use high-purity quartz glass because these lamps go through a lot of thermal shock. They heat up and cool down fast, and cheap glass just can’t handle that stress. As for the connectors, we stick with the standard R7s or Sk15. They snap in tight. No arcing, no flickering, even when the machine is humming and vibrating at full tilt. Some of our tubes have special coatings to help target specific ink chemistries. Just a heads-up: these might take a few extra minutes to warm up compared to the clear quartz ones, but the result is usually worth the wait. Plugging them in The best part is that these are direct replacements. You wire them into your current controllers and you’re good to go. One quick tip, though. High-output lamps put off a massive amount of heat. If you decide to jump to a higher wattage to speed things up, just double-check your exhaust. You want to make sure that extra heat is being pulled away from the machine, or you might start cooking your internal electronics. And nobody wants that.
